Hey Party People!
A lot happened in the last week! Stimmy’s were signed (meme’s included), Grammys happened (I see you Harry Styles fans), Pi Day at Marie Callender's (My sister wanted chicken pot pie for her bday), and St. Patrick’s Day (I see you green Frank’s Hot Sauce!) just to start. This edition of the newsletter will be in honor of the Grammys. A music-filled recommendation master list. Stay tuned after the break.
Website update: The team added descriptions to the GreatPods.co podcast pages! You may think it was simple, but I say…
*Please note that exclusives on Spotify, Audible, Luminary and others that are not listed in a public directory like podcastindex.com will not have a description at the moment. We are working that out for the future.
On a celebratory note, we hit a tiny victory of 100+ subscribers this week. Thanks for sharing the newsletter out there. It’s safe to assume that some of you, came from Lauren’s newsletter and posts. (See last week’s newsletter)
Now…to the list!
Top 5 Music Podcasts of Q1 from 9 Publications Master List
I’ve taken nine online publications giving their picks on their favorite music podcast lists they published in 2021. They range from artist conversations to aspiring musicians. I added an honorable mention of my personal favorite episode that I listened to this past week at the bottom. In keeping with the vision of Great Pods, critic snippets are added. And finally, on our mobile website, the listen links open up your default podcast app(most major ones) for ease of use.

BBC’s Desert Island Discs w/ Malala Yousafzai. The conversation was such a delight and filled with optimism, interspersed with Malala’s music playlist she would take on an island. Spoiler alert: She’s a Belieber.
If you have some honorable mentions or a podcast that gives you the feels, write it in the comments on Substack and tell me why you liked that particular podcast. Also, why not add it here too: greatpods.co/add-review
