On to my podcast picks this week...

Gather around your Alexas and Google Homes for the spookiest podcasts to listen to this Halloween season. Can you imagine? The old timey radio scene is back! As I was adding critic reviews, I stumbled upon a review of The Ringer's Halloween Unmasked podcast. An eight episode series behind the history and psychology of the classic 1970 genre-changing horror movie, Halloween. The first episode gets inside the mind of the serial killer and dives into his upbringing. Let me know if you like it or better yet, write an episode review!

Trending on the top 10 for the past few weeks is iHeart's new True Crime podcast, Paper Ghost. For all you True Crime junkies on the email list - I'm surprised no one has written an episode review yet!
About: Four separate cases, four young girls - all of whom go missing in the early to mid-1970s, all within miles from one another in neighboring New England towns. And not one arrest has been made in over 50 years. In Paper Ghosts, investigative journalist and true crime author, M. William Phelps, continues his decade-long search and is reignited when a call reveals new information, uncovering never-made-public documents and bringing forth new witnesses and suspects.
I'll tease you with a snippet from Vulture.com's editors regarding the new evidence: "For the sake of those still grieving five decades later, I hope he’s right."

As I mentioned in previous emails, Business was a popular requested theme. Since the Business genre casts a wide net, we'll dive into different areas bit by bit. This week I am featuring two different styles of podcasts.
First up is Dough Roller, the personal finance podcast.
Reviewer Nishant S. recommends Dough Roller as a "really informative podcast on the basics of personal finance."
It's a no-frills podcast. If you want matter-of-fact advice and interviews, this is where you want to go.
About: The Dough Roller Money Podcast helps people make the most of their money. Through interviews, news, tips and resources, the show helps you take your finances to the next level. Whether you are just starting out, under a mountain of debt, or nearing retirement, the Dough Roller Podcast can help you achieve your financial goals. And remember, the best thing money can buy is financial freedom.

The second business-focused pod is Robinhood Snacks Daily.
A daily podcast on the finance world, from the makers of the Robinhood trading app.
This is more of a fun daily podcast that goes over specific corporate finance news of the day while the fun, sometimes over-the-top hosts give their take. They are quick to point out this is not advice on what stocks to buy (I'm pretty sure they would be taken down by the SEC if they did). I’ll often find myself researching more on a particular topic they discussed.
Molly Donovan, from marketingshowrunners.com, says "...it makes historically dry topics feel interesting and engaging without overcorrecting and heading into dangerously condescending territory."
