In last week’s newsletter I wanted to check in on the top clicked critics from July 2022-December 2022. This week I wanted to go just a tad deeper to see the percentage and what countries are searching on GP in this new post here. Enjoy!
Congrats to Stephanie Arakelian, (Co-organizer on SoCalPodcastMeetup.com) on her new job at Impact Theory. More on the next meetup soon.
Shameless Acquisition Target with Laura Mayer was sold to Gilded Audio. Laura’s goal throughout the podcast was to get acquired, shamelessly. Success! In addition, it was announced by ABC Audio, that they hired Laura as Executive Producer of Podcast Programming. However, the full press release is noticeably missing Laura’s Shameless Acquisition Target podcast. Curious. Here’s the short version.
A lot of podcasts are being released next week. Check out some of them in the Coming Soon section of the site.
I’m going to start experimenting with Instagram reels this quarter. Give GP a follow. You can see some reels recap I made from Podcast Evolutions and Movement.
In case you missed the Top 22 podcasts from 2022. Read that here.
Weekly Charts come back next week.
On to my picks this week…
Podcast: Teamistry
Season: The Untold Story of Concorde
Genre: History, Documentary
Publisher: Atlassian
About: Imagine flying between New York and London in half the time it takes today. Celebrities sit nearby, champagne and caviar are served. Fantasy? Not long ago, this was a reality – made possible by Concorde. An airplane faster than a bullet, faster than the speed of sound. An airplane that seemed impossible to make. In Season 4 of Teamistry, new host Nastaran Tavakoli-Far and lead producer Pedro Mendes travel to the U.K. and France to speak with the designers and engineers who dreamed the same dream, worked and failed together, and built the fastest passenger plane ever.
Along with designers, creators, and historians, Tavakoli-Far does a great job of narrating us through Concorde's rise and fall. Imagine doing, long math, by hand, tedious, and with no calculators to build the world’s fastest passenger plane. But, as this is a podcast from the tech giant, Atlassian (Trello, Jira, Confluence), there is the exploration of teamwork throughout France and Britain.
James Marriot • The Times UK
“Tavakoli-Far, who is known for her curiously compelling voice (she sounds like a posh-voiced robot but in a good way), is the perfect narrator for this tale of glamour and futuristic travel.”
