Podcast: Happy Sad Confused
Genre: Conversation
Publisher: Kast Media, Josh Horowitz
Episode: Ke Huy Quan
About: On Happy Sad Confused, Josh Horowitz gets nerdy and intimate with the biggest movie stars and filmmakers on the planet. Each and every week, youâll hear in-depth, career-spanning conversations with everyone from Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johansson to Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino.
Golden Globe winner Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All At Once), joins Josh in this lovable and emotional conversation. If youâve seen his red-carpet interviews or awards speeches, you know quite a few of the stories. Itâs hard not to feel something or get emotional yourself.

ââŚhost Josh Horowitz takes things much less seriously than his counterparts, which is a true breath of fresh air.â
Podcast: Apollyon
Genre: Sci-Fi
Publisher: Observer Pictures, Realm
About: In the early 22nd century, the Apollyon virus wiped out 75% of the worldâs population, and now most of the world is governed by the International Conglomerate of Research Scientists. Dr. Theo Ramsey is an ICRS research scientist who may have just discovered an effective vaccine for Apollyon, but the stakes to get the vaccine to the public are higher than she ever imagined.
I was wanting another Case 63 type of Sci-Fi thriller. It looks like this might be it. Voice acting, frustration, and drama are all there so far. For me, I am going to listen to an episode like an appointment viewing for TV once a week versus binging it. The full season is already out if you want to binge.
Side note: Apparently, Fresno, California is where you go to be a scientist. As a California native, I donât know about that. =)
Michael Bergonzi ⢠Audio Drama Reviews
âI applaud the level of detail put into this series that many science fiction podcasts gloss over. Itâs ahead of its time even going into 2023.â
Podcast: Lex Fridman Podcast
Episode: Mr. Beast
Genre: Business, Entrepreneurship
Publisher: Lex Fridman
About: Conversations about science, technology, history, philosophy and the nature of intelligence, consciousness, love, and power. Lex is an AI researcher at MIT and beyond.
Lex started his podcast in 2018 with over 350 episodes published now, but I never listened. Until now. It was Mr. Beast's episode that caught my attention. Iâve been toying with some video concepts in my head, but never really put them to paper. Mr. Beast, the popular YouTuber chats about his journey via video and of course, tips for beginners.
It took about two episodes before I appreciated Lexâs questions and let the guest breathe a little, while still summarizing and adding follow-up questions. I still hold that he is monotone and quiet in his demeanor, but that probably speaks to his guests to open up.
Episodes can be 2-3 hours in length.
