We are now going through the Ambie Awards list for Podcast of the Year nominations. I picked Hooked, because my friend across wrote a listener review. Coupled with a Critic review it jumped to the top of my queue. A bank robber story that turned into the opioid crisis? Heck, I didn’t even know what the word “dope sick” meant until the podcast explained it, and now the Hulu drama with Michael Keaton makes a lot of sense.

I had to give a favorite pop singer of mine a listen. Her Song Exploder was good, so I wanted to see if it was going to translate. She also created, Service 95, a platform for established and emerging writers and activists.
NY Fashion Week just passed, but don’t fret, Paris is coming up in March. The first episode guest Olivier Rousteing, Creative Director at Balmain. Do I know the design fashion house, Balmain? No sir. Dua does, and that’s all I need. We get to listen to his history and being the youngest & first black Creative Director 10 years ago. Addressing the elephant in the room as well, racism in the fashion industry.
