Hey Poddy People!
Updates:

Rewatch Bonanza: I am enjoying Pod Meets World rewatch podcast despite no reviews yet! Adding to the rewatch podcast list is Superman’s origin CW show, Smallville with Talk Ville hosted by Clark and Lex. Trailer here.
New Trailer: This was probably made for me: Love & Noraebang - Korean Drama/Telenovela meets KARAOKE?! That’s so LA and that’s so me. I’ll see you at Cafe Brass Monkey followed by Hodori. Listen here.
Holiday: Technically it’s a short week for me with holidays abound. This weekend is Eid #2. Eid-Ul-Adha. Be excellent to each other.
On to my picks this week…
Podcast: Visible Women with Caroline Criado Perez
Genre: Society
Publisher: Tortoise Media
From the studio that brought you the best-reviewed podcast of the year, Sweet Bobby, comes a new podcast on data bias against women. Damn. The episode I listened to was around AI (Artificial Intelligence) bias in women’s health. I’ve read about AI bias on race, but there’s more.
A classic example given was that an AI tool automatically labeled men as women because they were in the kitchen, therefore skewing health data. Women scientists and doctors are trying to fix that now, and in the end, Visible Women shows how it’s being fixed. In the real world, it can also predict domestic violence depending on common data points with actual physical violence with bone fractures.
Patricia Nicol • The Times UK
“A thought-provoking listen, but also accountable, audio journalism to be applauded.”
Podcast: Camp WeWow
Genre: Kids & Family
Publisher: Tinkercast, Wondery
Guy Raz (How I Built This) takes his talents with co-host Mindy Thomas as camp counselors! You got kids, or even if you don’t, it’s an uptempo and fun bite-sized podcast. These last couple of episodes have been about water or water animals. Day 1 of each week is 30 minutes and the following days are about 10 minutes in length.
That water your drinking could’ve been dinosaur pee. You’re welcome.
Lakshmi Hutchinson • Common Sense Media
“The humor will be appreciated even by those older than the target audience, making this a good choice for kids, siblings, and adults to listen to together.”
🎶 “Camp WeWowwwwwww Camp WeWowwwwwww…”🎶
I’m afraid the theme song is ear worthy after listening to 4 episodes. Help.

Podcast: Kwik Brain with Jim Kwik
Genre: Self-Improvement
Publisher: Jim Kwik, Your Brain Coach
More bite-sized content! Jim Kwik has been podcasting for a while. It’s simple, with no bells or whistles. There is some upselling to his courses, but you can learn enough from the short podcasts. Practice that brain!
Tania Braukamper • Positive Routines
“...great brain-training podcasts for students, but it’s also generally a great podcast for anyone. In short, get on it.”
Some of Joe’s favorite posts: Working from home has many benefits—commute, wardrobe, optional bathing, etc. You do tend to feel like you’re missing out on things. Best coffee? Latest productivity app? Where to shop for a new (fill in the blank). My Home Office Hacks looks to provide the info you used to get in the lunchroom when you had a traditional J-O-B.
